A fast, sweet shooting longbow made with Osage Orange (Maclura pomifera SG 0.85) core. Osage is grown in North America and this bright yellow to orange heartwood will darken to a russet brown colour with exposure to sunlight over time. This is one of our most popular combinations. The Bickerstaffe Longbow Super Deluxe custom has horn nocks and an arrow plate and is available either Left or Right handed and is made in weights up to around 60lbs @ 29in draw. For all longbows with an additional inch over 29" draw or 10lb over 60lb bow weight an additional charge of £30 will apply. All Bickerstaffe bows are supplied with a double looped laid in fast flight string, a hand stitched leather grip, stringer and Bickerstaffe Bows booklet giving advice and guidance to the bows new owner.

IMPORTANT: DO NOT use stringers which have a pocket that fits over the top nock as these exert pressure on the nock beyond the wood which can lead to broken nocks, which will not be replaced under warranty!

Had this bow for 5 years. In 3 tournaments this summer I've had 2 wins and 1 second place.And I was shooting against county longbow archers in each;one lad I beat with it is first in his county rankings.
And to cap it all I took the longbow cup with it in our club championship shoot.
So,here's to a beautifully crafted bow,comfortable in the hand,sweet in the draw,engineered to last me a lifetime.
And as I'm 75 it will eventually be used ,I've no doubt,by a grandson to equally good effect!
