Parallel arrow point fitting tool

The combination shafter is a precision tool manufactured in Germany and simple to use. Place the tool in the jaws of a hand drill with a medium speed setting. Place the correct diameter collet into the tool to gauge the correct depth of the compression. Turn the dial to correct shaft diameter. Place the tool over the shaft and compress while spinning the tool on the shaft. The shafter can be adjusted for any shaft diameter to fit a parallel point. Shafts with all three common diameters (5/16, 11/32, 23/64) can be compressed and exactly calibrated in the process. The wooden shaft is compressed to a precisely defined length and to a precisely specified diameter. After the compressed section of the wooden shaft has been coated with your choice of adhesive (we recommend Araldite) the point is pushed over the shaft and ends flush with the exact outside diameter of the shaft.
