About Atilla Archery
Based in Hungary, Atilla have been crafting bows since 2001. Atilla started to sell the bows at medieval markets, and the business grew steadily from there. They now manufacture many different leather products and arrows. The inside of the armguards is made of non-allergic material.
Atilla horse bows are Nomadian reflex bows. The two main types available are Hungarian and Mongolian. The difference really exists in the so-called string bridge which accelerates the arrow when loosed.
From these two main types, they produce several bow types like Tartar, Turkish, Barbarian, Scythian etc. The fibreglass bows are manufactured from glass fibre. The siyahs consist of wood; generally, ash wood or beech is used.
The whole body, including the horns for the arrow pass, is handmade. The decorations are time authentic. The limb covers are genuine leather.
The bows are made from about 28lb to 55lb strength. They are all asymmetric: the upper limb is always longer – You can see the top limb by the name/writing on them. Due to the horn on both sides of the handle they can be used by left and right-handed archers.
Laminated bows consist of ash wood with additional exotic woods all enhanced with small layers of fibreglass that cannot be seen easily. Naturally, these types of wooden bows are the most dynamic ones. Their weight is remarkably light, and Atilla is very proud of their fibreglass bows - in there category they are among the fastest.
Atilla bows are extremely dynamic: the fibreglass bows give the arrow an initial speed of 170 to 190 feet per second (average 40lb bow). Depending upon the design and the arrow, the wooden bows shoot over 200 feet/sec on average. We recommend them both for beginners (up to 40# strength) and seasoned archers since the stronger bows are also suitable for hunting. With Atilla bows over 40# strength, you can shoot over 200 meters. Bow draw lengths are between 30 and 32 inches depending on the model.
